I’ve been wanting to wear this floral blazer I bought from Apartment8 for the longest time now. The weather is finally much more tolerable recently — or not; so I decided to just go ahead and wear it to work today.
PS: I was wrong. Weather man tricked me :( I think I lost at least 5 lbs water mass from all the perspiring /lol joke.

Kept it simple today by wearing all black! I love how the blazer can make a very simple attire look so chic and trendy without overdoing it. If I were more gutsy with regards to fashion, I’d totally wear a brightly colored thin belt to add more ‘umph!’—maybe red or yellow ! But alas, I am not like the other awesome fashion bloggers out there ._. /sticks to art and DIY blogging :))

I got the skirt from a store called Lefties during my last visit to Spain. I wasn’t able to shop because of the tour and it was during ‘Semana Santa’ so all the shops were closed :( Boo for me~ Zara, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Pull & Bear, & H&M heaven! — all of which at a remarkably lower price D: I think it’s almost 60% mark up here in the Philippines. Must return to Zara’s motherland! Speaking of which, I should post a photo diary of my Spain trip, yes?

lol! My bangs are all chunked up because I was perspiring so much /but you didn’t need to know that.

Apartment8 is definitely one of my favorite local brands. I got a quite a lot of unworn pieces in my closet screaming to get out and strut their stuff! Hopefully, I’ll find the ‘fashion blogger’ in me to actually wear them out soon. heehee :)
Hope everyone had a splendid day! <3
Hello everyone!
How did you spend your mothers day? Happy mothers day to all your mommies / and to you if you’re a mommy <3

PS: Forgive my super smiley face.

Bunnies all over! I got this top from Cotton On last month~ I’m telling you, it was love at first sight! Sadly, when I returned to the store a week after it was already on 50% off (boo). Thankfully, it’s super cute and easy to pair with practically anything so it’s worth every peso ! (Trying to make myself feel better obviously ha ha ha)

Royal blue shorts I got from Zara (I also have one in white). Ugh, I really wish I had more opportunities to wear my shorts out ! I have so much neglected items in my cabinet. One of the downsides of my corporate life, lol :(

Le Bunny Bleu flats ! I’ve been a fan ever since I saw their insanely adorable bunny flats! I’m so glad it’s available locally (for this design) already!
Thank you so much to Yhansy Manila for my first pair! You can visit them at 5/F of Shangri-la Mall for Le Bunny Bleu flats and other accessories :)
PS: I hope they bring in the other styles as well !

Totally random picture of me arguing with the crochet flower. Yes, I know I am a bit weird.
Say hi to my awesome mom!!!

heehee :D I’m a big baby!
<3
Hope you enjoyed your day! :)
This DIY project is fairly easy but a bit time consuming. Also, please make sure you constantly wash/clean your hands/fingers every now and then to avoid mixing the different colors of clay together — eew multicolored floral petals :o

Have fun!
***
MATERIALS:

• Sunnies ! Make sure you have enough room for the flowers on the upper rim —or lower if you’re planning to make a full floral rim~ Don’t use rimless / thin rimmed sunglasses :)

• Some pearls in different sizes. Optional but it gives a nice dainty effect; plus it’s a nice filler!

• Sculpey or Polymer Clay. You can find this in Hobbes and Landes (Philippines)
• Oven — a small oven toaster will do.
• Sharp scissors / cutter
• Mighty Bond
• Glue Gun
• PATIENCE !!!
***
STEPS :
This DIY basically just requires you to learn how to make a flower/rose out of clay — oh and leaves too! This illustrated guide is pretty much self explanatory:

* Don’t make it too long!

* repeat steps 1-3 and add another layer to your initial one until you get something like this:

PS: Don’t grip the bottom part of the rose too hard. We will cut any excess clay afterwards as we want a more blunt/flat end tip — pointed / excessive end tips will cause the flowers to look too popped out once you glue them on the glasses. It’ll also be harder for it to maintain it’s position if the end tip is not flat (flat on flat surface)

Now make random not-so-circular pieces and layer them over each other until you achieve something like this:

The more petals, the bigger your rose will get. Make your rose sizes vary. Make tiny ones for filling in small empty spaces too!

Tada~! Easy, right? :)
***
This is where patience comes in — time to make MORE! :D Probably around 5-6 per color in different sizes. It’s better to make a lot of tiny ones so you won’t have to worry about having small empty spaces on your glasses later on.

Please be very careful when moving/holding your roses. Sculpey clay is very soft and too much pressure will ruin the petals. Once you finish with a rose, I suggest you place it immediately on your oven tray to avoid any unnecessary damages/distortion.
***
Once you’ve finished all your roses, it’s time to bake them— don’t forget the leaves! Just make tiny pieces (shaped like a teardrop)
IMPORTANT:
TRIM OFF ANY EXCESS CLAY ON THE BOTTOM PART OF YOUR ROSES. MAKE THE ENDS AS FLAT/BLUNT AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT RUINING THE FORM.

Baking time varies depending on the oven you’re using. Don’t risk ruining all your hard work by not testing it beforehand. Mine takes around 5 minutes so I think it’s safe to start testing on 3 minutes first (Just one rose or a small chunk of clay~ Don’t put everything in yet!). Perfectly baked clay won’t be too hard — it will still be a bit soft, only difference is it doesn’t get deformed when you apply pressure on it anymore (but not too much it might break). Over cooked clay will have air bubbles and dark/brown portions.
***
When you’re done with baking. Allow your roses to cool off for about 10 minutes or so. Then you can start gluing on some leaves (not on all just the bigger ones)

***
Now for the fun part ! Use your glue gun to glue in your roses and pearls. Make it very random but don’t place roses of the same color beside or too close to each other. Use your tiny roses and pearls as fillers whenever there’s a small empty space in between your roses.

PS: Don’t put the large ones on the middle as they might cover the lenses.

***
Finished product:

I’m so proud of myself ! (LOL at self gratification)

Pretty! Now I want to go to the beach heehee

Show me yours if ever you make one for yourself :) Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing it <3 Ciao!
Hello everyone!
Yes, I am still very much alive :D I’m so sorry I haven’t been updating my blog recently ~ I’ve been so busy with things I haven’t had the time to even open my tumblr account #boohoo
Anyway, I met up with my good friend Keita for lunch today! We haven’t seen each other since forever (cue sad music)~! Sadly, Val and Jade couldn’t join us (we miss you!) Since I felt so bad for not updating my blog (IKR, I should just quit), I asked him to help me take photos; vice versa.
Decided to wear my DIY floral sunnies since the weather has been terribly hot these past few weeks (ugh) — I promise to post a DIY Floral Tutorial later when I get back home :)

Thanks so much to Anna of Vanity Treasures for sending me this lovely cat print dress — with a cute peter pan collar ! *giggles*

Decided to go all out with the kitty theme and wore my kitty flats from The Berry Lush — Thanks Bela! Hmm, I should’ve worn my kitty ears straw hat but that’d be pushing it already! LOL Maybe next time!

Being the fickle person that I am, I dyed my hair a shade lighter ! I tried a new bubble dye from Watsons (Golden Blonde) ~ Not bad, not bad! Plus it’s cheaper than most bubble dyes out there ! *happy seal clap and dolphin laugh*

Flowers, flowers, flowers! Can’t wait to show you how I made it! It’s really very easy~!

Yay! Hope you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed writing this entry! :)

Thank you Keita for taking my photos! :D
Last illustration out of four for Tutum Shoes :D (for now — I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of illustrating their shoes LOL)

Louis flats ( P 850.00 )

I was initially going to illustrate Jennica however, I felt Louis is more suitable for the outfit/hmm… what do you think? :D
