I’m not short, Keita’s just too tall…okay?

While waiting for Jade, we decided to have light lunch. We initially wanted to eat at Ippudo but the line was CRAZY LONG!

Ended up at Linguini ‘star star’ FINI ‘star star’. — lol, I’m so annoying.

Sole reason why we decided to go to Mega Mall instead of our favorite Shangri-la mall *drumroll please*

St. Marc Café [サンマルクカフェ]

image

Japan’s popular café finally hits Manila! First Philippine branch is located at SM Megamall’s Mega Fashion Hall. Heard they’re going to open a second branch in Glorietta — wheee!

Shangri-la and Rockwell Mall too, please!

The café was jam-packed when we dropped by. Luckily, the chococro gods were on our side so we got a table after around 5-10 minutes of lurking around.

image

Waiting for a table is not a problem though as there are drool-worthy displays up in the front and just before you reach the counter.

image

For all the matcha lovin’ people out there!

image

Definitely something to celebrate about. LOOK AT THAT PUDDING :))

image

The famous choco cro! Was torn between Strawberry Daifuku Choco cro and the regular Choco co but I ended up ordering the regular one. Have to go back and try the ichigo daifuku chococro soon.

image

PS: If you’re planning to order a box of chococros, better order it at least 30 minutes before you’re leaving the area. We had to wait for 45 minutes for ours :o But it’s worth it so… not complaining!

image

image

image

image

Delightful desserts, hihihi.

image

They have sandwiches too !

image

Jade and Keita’s order.

image

1, 2, 3 … WOWWWW!!!

image

It never ends.

image

Milk tea for me, coffee for Jade, and chococros for everyone! :D

image

"Are you done taking the photo? I want to eat it already."

image

Lol, My face is filled with utmost glee. Pretentious. I didn’t even order these :))

image

image

Panda wallet!

Cutie~! Thanks for the matchy-matchy Trissey sheep, Jade!

Highlight of the day:

Adventure Time!

23 notes Reblog Comments

Found this entry in my drafts~ oopsies! Can’t believe I haven’t posted this — early signs of aging?

I attended Baby Max’s first birthday a few months back and I HAD A BLAST! Obviously, the theme of the party was Adventure Time and was held at Mcdonalds, Makati.

image

Borrowed a Finn hat to complete my Adventure Time look. Now I regret not wearing something blue/white :))

image

While most of the guests were busy eating and playing parlor games…I was busy taking photos. he he he.

image

Caaaaake!

image

The birthday boy and Mommy Louie <3

image

How cute is this baby boy? With Daddy Mitch ~

***

My good friend Arvee joined in the fun! Wooo~ check out her Jake Glasses 8D

image

Perfect lighting inside Mcdonalds so…

image

image

I swear my bangs has a life of its own. How it manages to magically curl to one side like that I will never know.

image

Not sure if I want to be Jake or Finn. I can be a Jinn.

***

Fooling around with my friends~ I demanded they all wear Jake glasses for our ‘matchy-matchy’ facebook profile pictures, lol. Such influence.

Would’ve been awesome if we also had Lumpy Space Princess, Princess Bubblegum, and BMO props tho!!!

image

image

image

image

High fashion Jake :))

image

A very, very happy Jake.

image

***

Little boy who owns the FInn hat and Jake glasses. Thanks for lending it to us, Lucas !

image

***

image

With Hamburglar and Grimace.

One question though — WHAT EXACTLY IS GRIMACE? I think he is a fat ube or a tastebud

***

After the party, Arvee, Olive, and I went to have dessert at Sonjas Cupcakes.

image

Red Velvet & Pistachio cupcakes! Their coffee is really good too!

Highlight of the day was when I was approached by one of my readers; Yana. She is so cute! Reminds me of Jan Di (?) from Boys over Flowers.

image

Thank you for saying hi and for supporting my useless blog, LOL! ._.

If you guys randomly see me anywhere, please say hi. Hihi. I’m really nice (I think) and won’t bite — unless you’re taller than me that is. HA HA HA.

Hope you enjoyed this post~ :)

Flower Power

27 notes Reblog Comments

It’s been raining really hard for the past few days. Thankfully, mister sun decided to show up today; so I decided to wear something colorful ! Yay for good vibes :D

White Short Sleeve Florals Print Dress from Sheinside.com

White Wedges from Golddot

Yellow Skirt from Bershka

Pink Clutch from Coach

Forgive my ‘sleepy face’. Woke up early so I can take advantage of the early morning lighting <3 I hate taking photos during lunchtime /squinty eyes.

I really, really need a haircut. Can anyone suggest a good salon in The Fort area? :o I haven’t been to a salon in more than 6-8 months! LOL — and I call myself a girl. Yup.

Definitely going to my ‘favorite colorful dresses collection’!

Everyone please say hi to Riz ! <3 She’s behind all these awesome photos! Thank you!

Shu Uemura • Art of Beauty • Drawing Pencils Review

34 notes Reblog Comments

Posting an outfit shot on a blog review article just to mess with you guys. LOL! ;)image

***

A few weeks ago, Shu Uemura sent me their new product for me to try out (thank you!). I was so ecstatic when I opened the package because…

*cue in drumroll*

image

DRAWING PENCILS! If you’re an artist as well, I’m sure you’d be as excited as I was.

It comes in 21 shades and 4 textures. Imagine all the possibilities!

image

It came in a very sleek and colorful tin pencil case.

image

Which color/s did I receive? /heavy breathing and sweaty palms.

***

Tada!

image

image

***

image

image

Texture is matte and a bit chalky but glides on quite easily.

image

The pink pencil’s texture is creamy and contains glitters — glides on smoothly and easily.

***

SWATCH:

image

I was shocked when I swatched the green pencil as it came out in a very solid black with a hint of green. Was never really a fan of the color green so — yay!

***

SMUDGE TEST:

I am happy to report that this pencil liner has a very high ‘smudge tolerance level’ — is there such a term?

I initially smudged it using my fingers and it did not budge on bit! A+ on that!

I decided to take it to the next level and used a rough tissue paper (lol). Since the black liner is a bit chalky, it did smudge a bit though not entirely. As you can see, the pink liner did not smudge AT ALL. /You can all applaud now.

image

***

WATER TEST:

I tried to smudge it out while my forearm was wet and I’m happy to say that it is definitely water-resistant if not waterproof.

image

***

So, how did I remove it? With only THE BEST CLEANSING OIL ! If there’s one Shu Uemura product I will buy until the day I die, it’s this one! I regret not using this sooner. Unlike other make-up removers, this is very efficient in removing make-up, oil, and grit — plus, it saves you a lot of time; not to mention too much face / skin tugging using cotton pads.

image

***

With just one teeny tiny drop of the Shu Uemura Cleansing oil.

image

Everything just melted off, lol.

***

How I used it :

image

So cute right?

image

I cheated a bit with the wing cause I haven’t purchased a pencil sharpener. Pencil eyeliner was not sharp enough so I used a liquid eyeliner for the wing tip :)

***

Hope this helps <3

Colorful ‘Pop’ Stripes • Nail Art Tutorial

107 notes Reblog Comments

Admit it, you miss my nail art tutorials. HA HA HA. Kidding :)

Anyway, this is super easy!

You will need the following :

• Nail Polish (3-5 colors)

• Scotch tape although I prefer to use Washi tapes since they don’t adhere as much.

• Scissors / Cutter

image

***

Step 1:

Make sure to do this BEFORE painting you nails.

Cut thin strips of your tape ~ (quantity depends on how many stripes you want)

image

I used a striped washi tape to make my life easier *wink*

Tip: You can make some strips thinner / thicker ! (Mix thin and thick strips for a more fun look)

***

Step 2:

Pick 3-4 colors ~ Paint vertically or horizontally. You don’t have to be super neat. It’s also best if you coat it twice to make sure the colors are bold and vibrant :)

image

Should look like this :

image

PS: Before moving on to the next step, please make sure it’s completely dry. (Dry for 15~20 minutes to be safe)

***

Step 3:

Fill in the remaining nails with your preferred ‘top coat/color’.

image

image

Tip: Use solid black or white for a more vibrant contrast,

***

Step 4:

image

When you’re 101% sure that your polish is dry, take your washi strips and apply as such:

image

image

Make sure you stick it on well but don’t press on it too much as the polish might come off when you peel it off later.

image

***

Step 5:

Fill it in using your preferred ‘top coat / color’. Make sure the colors beneath it doesn’t show — at least 2 coats/swipes of your top coat.

image

image

Wait for about 5~10 seconds before peeling the tape off.

***

Last step:

Add a clear coat to seal in the design.

image

You’re done! :) Super easy right?

I would love to see yours (if ever you decide to try this out) ~ tag me on Instagram if you do :) — @crissey8

Enjoy

27 notes Reblog Comments

Last Saturday, my friends and I were invited to a kiddie birthday party in Mcdonalds Greenbelt — which obviously deserves a separate entry cause it was SO.MUCH.FUN.

I haven’t had that much fun in months! Most of the time, I’d be at home constantly preoccupied with thoughts about ‘what ifs’ and life in general (I’m not kidding). I guess I’m experiencing a bit of a ‘quarter life crisis’ (?) People who cannot let go of their past and/or who are constantly worried about the future are surely missing out a lot on their present; which will eventually become a part of their past (duh) — it’s a viscous cycle, really. I guess what I’m trying to say is that we shouldn’t be too hard on ourselves and enjoy life a bit. I’m so thankful for my friends who drag me back to the present whenever I wander aimlessly in my own thoughts.

Anyway, enough of the contemplating. Here’s what I wore <3

image

image

Knitted ‘ENJOY' top from Stradivarius — See what I did there? hehe. Currently one of my favorite brands since it's a bit cheaper as compared to Zara, Bershka, Topshop, etc.

image

Cheated with nude/skin tone shoes — color continuity gives the illusion of elongated / longer legs. hehehe. #sorryimnotsorry

image

Tiny studded ballet flats pendant from my mom. And no, I don’t curl my hair everyday. I have natural waves — I wake up looking like Chewbacca because my hair refuses to obey the law of gravity :(

image

Origami shorts from Stradivarius. My favorite style~ I actually have 5 pairs of Origami shorts! eep.

image

Comfiest platforms ever! Wish I purchased it in black as well </3

***

Special thanks to Arvee for taking my photos.

Begin Again

36 notes Reblog Comments

Hello, hello! Long time no post. I’ve recently been contemplating whether or not I should continue blogging — hence, the long hiatus. Boo for you, I’ve decided to continue HA HA HA. You’ll be seeing more of my pint / fun sized self more often now.

image

So happy the weather is starting to cool down a bit. The summer heat is really killing me. I’m not fond of the rain but it’s better than a sauna!

image

McCafe Vanilla Iced Coffee <3

image

Hair color is Platinum Beige (LIESE brand) if anyone’s interested. It’s actually more of a light ash in real life.

image

image

image

Erland Oxfords from Le Bunny Bleu SS2014 Collection. Such a perfect pastel pink! Definitely my current favorite pair from Le Bunny Bleu.

Btw, They’re having a sale now so you might want to check it out! Also, if you buy 3 sale items, you can get a free bunny plushie!

image

So there, I’m still alive. A big thank you to everyone who still reads and supports my blog! :)

A huge thanks to my friends Riz Olea (my photographer/  hair stylist / partner in crime) and JB for pressuring me to post an update. HA HA.
