My hair type :

• Dry and frizzy (mostly on the ends) due to hair dyes and I don’t really use conditioner on a regular basis (hehe)

• Slight natural waves

• Thin hair strands.

• Prone to hairfall and itchiness

* I used the Nounou haircare line continuously for the first week and have been using it twice/thrice a week for maintenance.

1. Nounou Shampoo

    Rating : ★★★★★ (5/5)

"Ideal for chemically treated hair that harm the keratin structure; brings out the original natural hair tones and restores health and shine to damaged hair. Thanks to its Sodium chloride free formula, a common ingredient that slowly removes the cosmetic colour from the hair, it is particularly suited for coloured hair. "

What I love most about this shampoo is that it’s very mild and very easy to wash off my hair. My hair feels squeaky clean after washing and the scent is pleasingly mild. I noticed that I didn’t experience any hairfall with this shampoo (approximately just 1-3 strands when I comb my hair after showering). It’s very hydrating but doesn’t make your scalp/hair oily towards the end of the day.

This bottle will probably last 2-3 months (for shoulder length) since it doesn’t require a lot of the product before it lathers up nicely :) It’s also packaged in an ‘easy squeeze’ bottle so you don’t have to exert too much effort to get the product out.

1. Nounou Conditioner

Rating : ★★★★ (4/5) — Just because it smells odd.

"It restructures and moisturizes the hair, prolonging the colour of chemically treated hair. Thanks to the synergy of its ingredients, it is ideal for chemically treated and coloured hair, as it has a deep restructuring action and protects the colour, restoring body and suppleness, maintaining the same luminosity and fullness of tone of the origin al colour. "

This conditioner is simply wonderful! My hair felt so much softer and manageable after just one use. The texture is rather pasty (not the regular type of conditioner) and comes in a tub — not sure if I like the packaging since it’s harder and messier to get it out. Best thing is that it is VERY, VERY EASY to remove. I really hate using conditioners because I can’t seem to tell when it’s completely washed off from my hair because of it’s feels so slippery / slimy ._. Anyway, it keeps my hair soft for the entire day! It smells weird though. I can’t explain what it smells like but it’s okay since it’s super effective and will probably last more than 3 months :D

3. Nounou Nourishing Repair Mask

    Rating : ★★★★ (4/5) — funky smell ._.

"A complete treatment offering everything dry and brittle hair needs: nourishment, moisture and protection. A nourishing and repairing mask that also contrasts the static effect which causes fly-away hair, making it easier to brush. "

Along with the Nounou conditioner, this hair mask saved my bleached ends from completely drying up! If you follow me on facebook/twitter, you might remember that I tried bleaching the ends of my hair myself (never again) because I wanted to dip-dye it lavander heehee~ I only use this once a week because it smells REALLY.REALLY.ODD. It comes in a tub and texture is same as the conditioner but a but more thick and pasty.

This hair mask makes sure I don’t look like I have a frizz-ball on my head and keeps it manageable throughout the entire day (great for dry hair ends) /oh hello, I’m a broccoli :))

I highly recommend the Davines Nounou line for those who have color treated hair / chemically processed. It’s so hydrating yet does not make your hair limp and oily. Downside is that it’s only available in salons and it’s quite expensive ! But if you’re looking for a terrific haircare line to save your dry chemically processed hair this is worth a shot! :)

I spray my hair with the Etude House Silky Scarf Moist Hair Mist afterwards to cover up the funky smell and for extra hydration :)

I also call it my anti cigarette smelling hair because smokers are so inconsiderate ! (smoking right outside the building entrance GRR)

4. Defining Relaxing Fluid

"Product enriched with vegetable derivatives for fixing and silicone derivatives for softening. Exceptional for straight hair, it also controls unruly hair, gives shine and luminosity whilst keeping the hair light. Natural smooth effect, total control of frizzy hair. "

No rating yet as I’ve only used this twice (on my bangs lol).

It works great on my bangs ! Makes it easier to straighten with the flat iron and does not clump it all up in large chunks (ala anime character bangs all chunked up in sections)
